The photo’s tabs
With a photo selected, the right column shows its name, the client’s note, a small picture to move the photo inside its frame, and the size. Below, in tabs (you can set your own order with right-click › Customise tabs):
- Position and rotation: angle (straighten), rotate the whole frame.
- Colour and tones: brightness, contrast, saturation, black and white. They apply wherever the photo is used, and in print.
- Border and opacity: a border for this photo only.
- Frame shape: rectangle, oval or circle, diamond, hexagon, triangle, slanted sides, rounded corners.
- Fades: from one side (two points you drag in any direction) or all round.
- Image info: print resolution, colour profile, camera, lens, exposure.
A gold dot next to a tab title means you changed something inside it. With several photos selected, the changes apply to all of them.
Text: names, dates, verses
T Text adds text on any spread while the layout stays automatic. Double-click to type; on the right choose the font (every font on your computer, each shown in itself), size, colour, alignment, spacing, rotation. Text always stays above the photos, prints exactly as on screen and the client sees it too.
Backgrounds
Right column › Background › click the colour: the “Spread background” window opens next to the spread, so you see the result at once.
- Colour / Design: a plain colour (paper tones or any colour) or a design.
- The app’s / My own: ready-made designs or your own, with “+ Add…” (JPG, PNG, TIFF, PSD, and Illustrator / PDF with transparency).
- The current design and its intensity: how much it shows over the colour.
- The same on every spread, or No design.
- The library: papers, linen, watercolours, marble, soft gradients. One click applies it.
- The spread with its background: it prints the same and the client sees the same.
